Along with other major upgrades celebrating the new name, Harry Reid International Airport needed to start using LPR for operational and security reasons without major infrastructure changes and without loop triggers.

Survision Nanopak Totem LPR camera turned out to be Scheidt & Bachmann’s “weapon of choice” to face the challenge.
This iconic airport has empowered its parking lots with 50 Nanopak units, acquiring the ability to offer a frictionless exit to their customers, exponentially reducing waiting times, pollution levels, and radically eliminating lost ticket inconveniences/frauds.

When it comes to high volume traffic, as in the case of Las Vegas Airport, this represents a huge leap in service quality and operational efficiency.
License Plate Inventory
Before Survision, Las Vegas Airport performed their license plate inventory operations slowly and manually for decades; but it drastically changed as 4 new mobile LPR units using Picopak LPR Camera were implemented for the task.
It took 15 officers to perform the daily 4 hours inventory for the whole parking lot; now, the same work is performed by only 4 mobile LPR units (1 officer driving each one).
The improvement was not only a significant 378% increment on LPI efficiency but in other aspects:
- Survision Mobile units are equipped with a 4G modem which sends the LP data directly to the system in real time, so the data can be integrated to the information from fixed cameras on entries and exits; this makes license plate inventory powerful security tool; if connection is lost, the cameras buffer the information and send it as soon as the connection is reestablished.
- Survision Mobile LPI solution is extremely lightweight and easy to mount/dismount on any vehicle

Harry Reid Las Vegas International Airport experienced a huge effectivity increase on LPI operations since Mobile LPR Implementation.
Survision LPR cameras are being used in many airports such as London, Paris and Quebec.
