¿Qué son
Cámaras LPR?

Las cámaras LPR son sensores de tráfico avanzados utilizados para capturar y digitalizar imágenes de matrículas. Esto se llama Reconocimiento de Matrículas (LPR). Para que el LPR sea útil, debe realizarse en tiempo real (20 ms o menos) y con una precisión muy alta (99% o más); las cámaras de video regulares no pueden hacer esto.

Equipadas con hardware y firmware especiales, las cámaras LPR reconocen, capturan y analizan instantáneamente la imagen de la matrícula, realizando operaciones adicionales más allá del OCR regular (Reconocimiento Óptico de Caracteres), específicas para Matrículas (¡y para el diseño de matrículas de cada región!); esto hace posible el proceso de digitalización en condiciones complejas/extremas como objetivos en movimiento, ángulos muy abiertos, poca luz ambiental, niebla, suciedad, etc.

Las cámaras LPR especializadas realizan todo el proceso LPR sin la intervención de equipos o software externos.​
